There are two things that I find useful when I buy old computers and clean them.
one is the archaic system restore. most people use this when they have a virus and the virus itself may be in the restored syste. windows always keeps one system restore so I turn off system restore first and then clean my machine, use ccleaner and atf and delete all the files in windows prefetch. I then go to dos, [run cmd]
type regedit [ not for the weak] go to edit , find and type in prefetchpara. I am taken to a double screen and on the left side i see prefetchparameter highlighted. the righ side had a long list. i scroll down on that side to prefetch enable, right click on it engage Modigy and change the 3 to a 2. close it reboot my computer. what it does is basically allow only the boot another starting ini and the recent regedit which can be deleted on the next reboot.
If you have a laptop that runs hot, these last two items about system restore and prefetch, I will tell you I have had a huge success in using the above. XP is great, never change it!

Your browser caches the hosts file when it starts up. So if you hit the site and see it works, then do the hosts file trick mentioned in this page and just hit the site again in your browser it will still work. You have to close all your browser windows and restart the browser to get it to take effect.

Your computer will look to the hosts file to resolve a hostname before it asks the DNS server so this is a simple way to block the unwanted websites. The downside is that its easy for someone to take it out of the hosts file if they have local administrator rights on the computer. But I guess a lot of users aren’t geeky enough to know or guess that would be the problem.

Its not a fake. But this wont work if you use a proxy, because the proxy does the DNS lookup for you. If you use a proxy then you have to put the hosts file entry on the proxy itself and then usually you would need to restart the proxy service for it to take effect.

To reset admin password
go to command mode and type net user administrator * and press enter
now the system will ask you to enter new password.

Five days ago, I just got such windows password recovery tool, Windows Password Seeker, to reset windows password, and it can be burned onto a CD/DVD as recovery disk. I believe it is the best windows password recovery tool ,and is your best choice.

I realize an easy method to reset lost windows password, just contact for to produce a windows password reset bootable CD/DVD or USB flash generate to reset forgotten windows password, i have made a bootable USB flash generate using the tool Windows Password Seeker and reset my administrator password successfully.

Thanks for these tips, Also we can delete files that stored in: (Prefetch, Temp & %Temp%) folders. Just goto start button and click run to start run window, Then write the name of each folder (One by one), Then delete all the files, You will have good space in your hard drive.
