I used to use VideoGet (nuclear-coffee.com), It can both download and convert video format, It’s not free though.

But since VLC player haven’t had any problems to play youtube video, I don’t need it anymore. I watch the video and If I like it, I just go to the Firefox cache folder and rename the file (Video title.flv), done.

I have tried different methods to download videos from youtube. I believe keepv is the best methods so far. You can download it here with no need to go to their website :

With the new youtube system of normal/high quality videos, how do you download the high quality versions? I tried using a download plugin, but it only downloaded the low res version.
